Curatorial Statement

Fishy-Oneness is a collaborative virtual gallery exhibition started by 8 talented SCA students.
The theme of our exhibition is a flawed perception, featuring the art of disguises, masks and characters. The dungeon site is a perfect environment to display the works of these artists due to the historical nature and the mysterious ambience.

The exhibition is taking place in the main corridor of the dungeons. It was chosen because it clearly had the essence of a fishy-oneness; it's open, spacious and is easily accessible. The dark and dull walls will be transformed into clean white walls. The content of the artists' works are quite varied, each relating to our singular theme.

Fishy-Oneness galleries is a gallery that doesn't take itself too seriously but enjoys the fun and mystery behind each character. May the Oneness be with you.

My work currently features characters with animals who are aptly called ani-girls. The work relies on a lot on the subconsciousness that eventually build into narratives.
My practice starts off as drawings then moves into screen-printing predominantly but I’ve also experimented with watercolours and acrylic paints on paper. The colour palette differs with each character but all of them remain flat. The subject matter is always odd and unique to each girl.
